  • Call for CDFI Women's Network Volunteers

The CDFI Women's Network is seeking volunteers to serve on its Programming, Local Chapters, Communications, and Technology Committees. We invite you to take advantage of this great leadership opportunity to meet the brilliant women of the CDFI industry, help build the Network AND your career!

Our goal is to recruit 6-8 volunteers per committee who will help shape the work of each committee, for a total of up to 24-32 volunteers. We're looking for women with creative ideas and energy, who have time to add this extra-curricular activity to their (likely already busy) schedules. We're also looking for women at any stage of their career, experienced or new to the industry, in any role within their organization, and from diverse backgrounds. We welcome women working for CDFIs, banks, foundations, government agencies, consulting firms, research firms or any organization supporting the CDFI ecosystem.

    Committee Descriptions:

    ·        Programming Committee: Develop programs and services to connect and build the capacity of CWN members, including learning and professional development opportunities and curating content for CWN's CDFI Connect Online Community

    ·        Chapters Committee: Support the growth of local/virtual chapters of the CWN

    ·        Technology Committee: Working in collaboration with OFN staff to manage the CDFI Connect Online Community and member database; work with all other committees to disseminate information to the network

    ·        Communications Committee: Capture and communicate (via the online community, social media, etc.) the role and successes of the CWN and its members; assist local chapters in planning networking events; and assist the CDFI Women's Network in general outreach and communications activities

Committee members will be asked to have an initial meeting by the end of September and report out on their priorities and progress at the CWN gathering at OFN's annual conference in Chicago in October.

This opportunity is on a first-come, first-served basis, so don't hesitate to contact us if you're interested! We may not be able to accommodate everyone in this first round of volunteering, but we will keep everyone's name on a list and offer short-term opportunities in the future.
