JOB ANNOUNCEMENT: ACCOUNTING ASSOCIATE
Position Description
The Accounting Associate position requires strong analytical skills and thorough knowledge of basic accounting principles with a focus on utilizing technology to create efficiencies. Responsibilities will include the maintenance of account balances with an emphasis on accounts payable and loan receivable entries. The Associate will work collaboratively with team members across the various disciplines within the organization.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly account reconciliations, including receivables, accounts payable and loan related accounts in the general ledger
- Manage bank deposits, including booking in loan accounting software and general ledger
- Input data into Portfol, the current loan accounting system
- Input data and manage Concur software for expense reports and accounts payable
- Process standard recurring and other non-recurring journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation for review
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor of Business Administration, Accounting or Finance preferred
- Minimum three years of experience in an accounting or finance position
- Experience with financial accounting systems; knowledge of Sage accounting software is a plus
- Strong attention to detail, and mathematical and analytical skills are a must
- Computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office, advanced knowledge of Excel functions is a plus
- Ability to problem solve and engage with staff and third parties when issues arise
