Do you want to help credit unions change their communities and the lives of their members? We're looking for a someone with a passion for community development and experience in financial institutions, to join our team as a Community Development Manager.
You'll consult with clients to develop effective and compelling strategies for their credit unions that will result in successful grant applications and federal funding, and to evolve their business models to embrace their cooperative roots and better serve low to moderate income markets, including but not limited to:
-Economic development research that identifies community needs
- -Developing financial products that serve low income markets
- -Facilitating effective community partnerships that result in community development and drive loan growth
-The development of compelling narratives and the financial projections that support a winning grant application
-Strategic planning
-Governance consulting
-Charter conversions and field of membership changes
-Product and policy analysis
We're looking for someone with financial institution (preferably credit union) experience and thorough understanding of key financial ratios and the ability to speak confidently to credit union C-suite executives. You'll need the ability to provide a professional and knowledgeable presence for clients during an occasionally stressful process.
Strong communication and organizational skills are a must, along with the ability to thrive as part of a team while working remotely. Spanish fluency is a plus.
