Our company recently began using Salesforce and we are looking for a platform that will integrate our loan processing within Salesforce. We currently use Lenderfit  for the client to submit/ complete the documents needed. It doesn't have the ability to connect to Salesforce the way we want it to. We wanted to see what other CDFIs are using for loan processing and collections of documents with the ability to get esignatures within Salesforce. We have looked into Docusign and Adobe but wondering if there are better options.  Thank you!

    Hi Samantha

I feel like this is a big question for a lot of people.  I don't have any particular recommendations but I can give some feedback regarding DocuSign.

We use DocuSign for legal document signatures in addition to approvals.  I think DocuSign works fine for straight forward signatures.  Because we also use it currently for approvals (official approval sign off) as well, it can become arduous where there may be multiple different support documents.  The other area I find it challenging is where we need to void a previously signed document.  This has come up for a number of reasons and we have needed to resubmit something for signature.  It could be that we are not aware of the functionality that supports this scenario but we have a difficult time trying to identify and note documents that needed to be re-signed and which is the effective document.  I realize the protection is meant to protect signed documents from being manipulated for document integrity, but there are limitations to visibility into this sort of versioning.

Good luck on your search and I will be interested in seeing other responses to your request.

I'm not a huge fan of Docusign, either. I don't understand how it became so popular.

Pandadoc generally has more customizability and is often better than Docusign with connections to other software platforms. It might be a good option to look into, Samantha.

Hi Samantha, we currently using DocuSign. Our team has been happy with it, but we are exploring whether to switch to Adobe Sign for some cost savings and in attempt to consolidate the number of software we manage. We already use Adobe for other things so using it for signature would create some simplicity for us. We haven't officially made the move over to Adobe Sign though, so I'm wondering if anyone has been using Adobe Sign and what their experience has been?
