  • Join Virginia Community Capital (VCC) and LOCUS Impact Investing for the third event in our quarterly Learning Exchange series: More Than a Moment, on September 29 from 10-11:30 AM ET.

Climate change is a global threat that will increasingly impact all of us. In the United States, the challenge posed by a changing climate looks different depending on the landscape; it can take the form of raging wildfires on the west coast, catastrophic flooding in the Heartland, or collapsing power grids in overheated cities. Regardless of the disaster type, two things are true: 1) low-income areas and communities of color are frequently hit the hardest, and 2) a deliberate centering of equity is required in the financing of solutions to ensure communities are able to cope with this unprecedented challenge. During our virtual event, Centering Equity in Climate Finance, our expert panelists discuss some of the current initiatives to ensure an equitable approach to climate finance and where the opportunity to do more exists.

Moderator: Jim Baek, SVP, LOCUS Impact Investing + Executive Director, Community Investment Guarantee Pool
