This year’s Reinventing Our Communities (ROC) comes at a critical time. In the midst of an economic expansion, many households and areas have been left out. At ROC 2020, we will put equity in sight by highlighting research and local solutions you can use to increase economic opportunity in your community and foster economic equality.
Our three-day event will inspire dialogue and present ways that communities can expand access to jobs, housing, and wealth, and create lasting economic mobility. At ROC, we will:
- FRAME the ways current systems create and exacerbate disparities and how policy and practice can be reformed to improve economic stability and mobility.
- LEARN how to improve your approach to the challenges of inequality by refocusing on local data, needs, and interventions.
- APPLY lessons learned to develop local solutions that you can take back to your community.
ROC is the Philadelphia Fed’s must-attend event for community development experts, policymakers, and thought leaders to discuss how to “reinvent America’s communities.”
Opening plenary: Wednesday, May 27, at 12 noon
Final session ends: Friday, May 29, at 2:00 p.m.
A more detailed agenda will be coming soon.
