Paul Wright is Vice President for Enterprise Development at MACED, a community development lender serving central Appalachia including eastern Kentucky. Directing the $25 million revolving loan fund and business advisory services, Paul helps more entrepreneurs succeed in rural communities. Under his leadership, MACED offers innovative capital products and development programs to spur a just economic transition in post-coal industry communities.
He is a founding member and Chairman of the Kentucky Social Enterprise Alliance chapter that helps promote community benefit corporations throughout the state and a founder of the East Kentucky Technical Assistance Providers (EKyTAP).
Wright offers 20 years industry experience including: economic development project financing, community investments, leadership development and business coaching. Paul is an East Kentucky Leadership graduate-class of 2012. He holds a BS in Business Administration from Birmingham-Southern College an MBA in Community Economic Development from Eastern College and is a certified Economic Development Finance Professional through the National Development Council.
