Hi Everyone,
Hope you are all doing well! Just a note to let you know that our March meetings are starting next week. This month's topic is a popular one: Technology Solutions, with a focus on Generative AI. We hope to discuss concrete examples of how people are leveraging Generative AI, guardrails/policies organizations have instituted or are considering, and use/governance concerns people are raising. To help spur the conversation, please send specific AI related question(s) in advance to cdfioperations@gmail.com or be prepared to share your questions in the chat at the beginning of the meeting.
As usual we will break up the sessions by CDFI size:
- Large CDFIs (>20 employees):
- Small/Mature CDFIs (10 - 20 employees):
- Start up and Very Small CDFIs (<10 employees):
April's topic will be: Workflow and roles/hats that everyone wears in their CDFI. From your colleague Corrie Beula Kovacs at First American Capital Corp: Having worked for only two CDFI organizations, I am curious about how other organizations divvy up operational duties and what benefit there may be to different workflows/structures. The Barbara Eckblad charts were a great introduction to ways to structure ops, but I am curious what people are using and how it is functioning for them, especially as relates to the smaller CDFI organizations, and what happens when they grow. In May we will pick up the Technology Solutions conversation, focusing on lending platforms.
Cheers,
The CDFI Operations Community of Practice Team (Brian, Christina, James, Lily, Sarah DO, Sarah L)
