I appreciated the opportunity to share on this webinar (and the slides and recording are now available in OFN's resource center!).

Here are a few takeaways from the content I shared.

    1. Ask good sociological questions about how technology is impacting your community dynamics and neighborhood interactions. Consider ways these impacts aren't visibly obvious. Example: doordash (platform) may mean customers lose opportunity to build a relationship with their local small business restaurant owner, while the owner can expand their reach.
    2. Take time to become literate in AI. You don't need to be an expert, but stay aware of the latest developments - on the tech and on the ethics side.
    3. Commit to being an ethical leader in the space - your work directly interacts with communities most at risk of being negatively impacted by AI, whether that because of bias or loss of competitive advantage. You have a lot to contribute to the conversation!
