OFN Training - Virtual Climate Lending 101

When:  Apr 4, 2024 from 02:00 PM to 05:00 PM (ET)
Associated with  Open Forum

Interested in climate financing but unsure of where to start? Attend this ½ day, three-hour workshop for a primer on climate financing concepts and to understand the business case for CDFI climate lending at the intersection of climate finance and environmental justice. Through this training, attendees will build their baseline knowledge of the landscape of climate financing opportunities, including a high-level overview of lending products and practices.

During the workshop, attendees will be guided through activities that will help them begin a climate risk assessment of their communities and markets. Through case studies and examples, the workshop will conclude by helping practitioners think through ways in which they can start building a climate program and framework that meets the needs identified in their climate risk assessments.

Please note that this workshop is best suited for practitioners who have not yet developed a climate lending portfolio or are in the early stages of doing so. If you have already implemented a climate lending framework or have built out a climate portfolio at your CDFI, then we recommend that you check out OFN's intermediate, 201-level climate lending offerings being rolled out in the second half of 2024.

Location: This workshop will take place virtually via Zoom. Registrants will receive an email and calendar invite with an agenda and the Zoom link from OFN's Development Services team one week prior to the workshop.

Registration Fee: $125 per person for OFN Members; $250 per person for General/Non-Members. Please note that registration fees for this training are substantially subsidized as it is sponsored by the Citi Foundation.
