    Hello!
    I would like to know what kind of marketing strategies are being used for community outreach?
    What methods are CDFI's using now to reach business owners and spread awareness in their areas of their services?

    Hi,

    We have gone back to the old fashion way....visiting businesses in underserved areas and listening to their concerns. The response has been extremely positive, like when the owner of a barber shop told us that our visit meant more to him than the grant he recently received.

    We have found small businesses hungry for assistance but not knowing who to trust and not willing to take the time to go to a bank just to hear "no".
