This white paper describes the recent challenges faced by CDFIs as a result of the current banking environment and its impact. It is intended to serve as a conversation-starter with policymakers so they are aware of the impact of the current environment on CDFIs and underscore the importance of policies that support CDFIs' access to capital.
The white paper is a result of collaboration between Invest Detroit, Cinnaire, OFN, and an informal working group of CDFIs who have begun discussing capitalization challenges. It is intended to be a living document that we will update regularly based on feedback from the CDFI community and changing market dynamics.
