Bio

John is a community development practitioner that advises on organizational development and program design to help organizations close the wealth gap. He prioritizes CDFIs that want to “design bottom up” solutions that align with market demand and focus on employee ownership and affordable homeownership. He takes an immersive, hands-on approach that begins with an assessment.  Thereafter he and the CDFI co-create a workplan.  This can involve any combination of organizational development and program design.

After two decades as a senior leader at the NH Community Loan Fund, one of the nation’s premier Community Development Funding Institutions (CDFIs), he understands the power of local, bottom-up, demand-driven investment strategies that unleash the potential for people to create solutions that oxygenate the economy and broaden economic success.

John’s past experiences include leading a $175 million, multi-product CDFI Fund in Farm Food, Manufacturing, Renewable Energy and Affordable Housing as well as leading New Hampshire’s statewide Workforce Investment Board. He has started and led organizations in the Community Development space and possesses an entrepreneurial spirit, financial acumen, and strong relationship-building skills.

John believes in the power of diversity and harnessing the collective wisdom of others. He is passionate about unleashing unrealized potential within the organizations and the communities he serves.
