Monica Blanton is a corporate officer of Brightbridge, Capital, a TN nonprofit commercial lender focusing on economic development, and is the head of its NMTC department. She has led its NMTC compliance and asset management activities since 2005. Her NMTC responsibilities include; strategic planning, advisory board liaison, stakeholder relationship coordinator, pipeline manager, project screening, structuring and closing, and oversight of; record keeping, financial and regulatory reporting, and application preparation. She has been directly involved with the application, allocation, deployment, ongoing servicing, regulatory reporting, and investor reporting of four NMTC allocations, totaling $132,000,000. Blanton also provides consulting services for projects to facilitate their attracting NMTC’s into their projects from other CDEs. In addition, Blanton has led an average of 15 annual NMTC individual and group informational presentations for public and private sector stakeholders, including borrowers/project sponsor, investors, leverage lenders, elected and appointed officials, economic development professionals, community organization leaders, and utility representatives. Blanton’s professional experience includes eight years in public accounting with regional and international firms (Ernst & Young) in the area of assurance services.
